If there’s anyone out there looking for a replacement leather watchband for your Skagen 809XLTBLB, you may have found that nobody seems to recognize this model number (including Skagen themselves). There’s good news, though. Skagen does have a suitable replacement: just tell them you’re looking to replace the watchband on your Skagen 806XLTBLB. The bands are almost identical and the new one fits fine. The chief difference I can tell is that the original band has a tan suede interior, while the 806’s interior is black leather similar to the exterior. The screws that the 806’s band come with are also a little longer, but they seem to fit okay.

Wow, it’s amazing to me that Skagen themselves cannot find this watch in their catalog. I told the Skagen guy on the phone that I got the watch ~3-4 years ago and he said that’s why he can’t find it – because the watch is “really old.” (Not a good reflection on Skagen if 3-4 years is “really old.” LOL) I told him about this post and he confirmed that a 806XLTBLB replacement is available, but they are out of stock. $40 (+shipping and tax I imagine) for the replacement when it gets back in stock.
I think perhaps I will use the $40 on a new (non-Skagen) watch.
