I used a unique address when registering for emusic and am getting tons of spam on that one as well.

I ‘fixed’ it by setting a rule in my site admin panel to redirect everything addressed to that unique address to sales@emusic.com.

Not sure if they even read that alias but I had fun setting the rule

Chris, you made me change my mind about how creative some Britons can be! Thanks for this delicious parody! And to quote Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Governors’ Global Climate change summit in 2007: ” You can have a solar-powered jacuzzi” – it is all about how intrusive changes are in our life-style, carbon offset are indulgences and a way to pay for externalities , not a way to reduce the overall “planet cheating practices”, they are a temporary solution that cannot be the answer at the core of the problem, they cannot substitute leadership within regulatory framework and technology-driven solutions.

Thanks so much for posting this recipe. I recently tried “wok fired shishito peppers” at Sunda in Chicago and found your recipe while trying to figure out how to copy them. After doing it a couple times I’ve realized I can sear them just as well in a really hot cast iron skillet, which is less work than the blow torch.

OK: so this gets done on the MacBook without taking the guts out, and the computer still works fine afterwards? It’s been almost a year. Does it STILL work fine?

Thinking of having this done, but scared to death of, as you aptly almost put it, putting an expensive chunk of hardware on a bench to be selectively burned.

Found out today that my child’s phone was charged $9.99 for premium text messaging billed by Verzion. Called verzion to find out what was up. They gave me the company name that charged the phone which was TooLazy.net.
They gave me the phone number and I called, but you guessed it, no answer, just a recorded message. Such cowards. Called verzion back and told them to block all further text messaging companies. Then we went round and round about getting the $9.99 charge taken off. Finally after much talk, they agreed. This is about the prinicipal of this TooLazy company preying on children and letting the parents pay for it. They are making millions on that $9.99 charge. They need to be stopped and that’s why I wanted the inital charge removed from my phone bill. I can’t believe Verizon and probably all other phone companies do business with such theives.

Most of the peppers are mild (like green bell peppers). However, about one in a dozen will be quite spicy (I read 20 times hotter than a jalapeño, but I don’t think they’re all that hot).
